Broken Hearts
I don't know why you choose to see me now
after all that time when I was invisible
put me down, break me apart, and for what?
did you need a decoration, some morbid art?
lining the shelves of this world are bottles of broken hearts
take one down and pass it around, laugh at how shattered they are
no one stops to think of what could be, they're focused on the pain
like once a soul's been crushed it's no longer worth much
just a souvenir of lost love
They say that people can change, but I'm wary
I've seen my fair share of shattered things
often the unknown gets too scary
and I just want to hide away
Don't bring me down anymore, I'm done with that
Just watch over your shoulder and be careful, karma's coming back
I don't know why you choose to see me now
after all that time when I was invisible
put me down, break me apart, and for what?
did you need a decoration, some morbid art?
lining the shelves of this world are bottles of broken hearts
take one down and pass it around, laugh at how shattered they are
no one stops to think of what could be, they're focused on the pain
like once a soul's been crushed it's no longer worth much
just a souvenir of lost love
I don't know what to say so I'm quiet
let you figure it out on your own
I hope you find a new path to take someday
and find out just where it went wrong
Don't turn away too quickly, fate can sneak up
Remember that if you hurt me, you won't rest easy too much
after all that time when I was invisible
put me down, break me apart, and for what?
