Snake Venom
It's a matter of perception
There are wrongs and rights
And snake venom wears holes in my self-esteem
Armor no longer has it's shine
But in the back of my mind I sing 'daddy knows best'
It becomes so loud I can't hear my own thoughts
And that worries me
There is truly no place like home
Because I am never as scared nor as alone than here
Fridays roll into view with dread
Weekends are terrifying
This place is toxic
And I breath in the fumes everyday because I don't know better
I'm tired of snake venom
I'm terrified of the repercussions for breathing
A cave of stalactites and land mines
Watch your step
Keep your head low
There are wrongs and rights
And snake venom wears holes in my self-esteem
Armor no longer has it's shine
But in the back of my mind I sing 'daddy knows best'
It becomes so loud I can't hear my own thoughts
And that worries me
There is truly no place like home
Because I am never as scared nor as alone than here
Fridays roll into view with dread
Weekends are terrifying
This place is toxic
And I breath in the fumes everyday because I don't know better
I'm tired of snake venom
I'm terrified of the repercussions for breathing
A cave of stalactites and land mines
Watch your step
Keep your head low
