I'm not a lover
I cannot love
in that way
I love not for I see not
for love is blind
and so is mine
unrefined, unaligned,
having me
doggedly pine
despite a closed mind
and bound heart
desperate to feel
love and its luxuries
love and its tragedies
love and its memories
but alas
I am no lover
and I have not yet a clue
on how to be
(find me, free me...)

Each line brings a pain aching twist of reality (or at least something I feel I can relate to);
