Greatest Love

Hearts beat like thunder
Wild screams fill the air
Twinkling starlight shines above
Passion alive and dancing

Endless stillness strikes quickly
Silence falls from the sky
Creeping danger, present, unnoticed
Tender moments fade away

Gurgles fill his throat
Her pulse pounds faster
Pain exits him forever
Blood lust wins again

Lapping her sweet victory
She weeps anguished tears
Not moving, lifeless, he's gone
Black widow, his mate
