The Dark Night
Darkness is securing itself around me
I feel its indifferent breath upon my neck
Sends me to my knees in anguish
I scream as the affliction swells in my brain
Yearning for a life without regret and misery
Thoughts of what might have been encase my core
From dust I have come, soon I will return
My empty vessel, this empty vessel
I close my eyes waiting for this hell to end
I feel a touch against my skin
I must follow to leave my torment behind
My passions pulsate through these veins
Understanding is the extent of what I am
This passage lying before me is my escape
At the end, a peaceful light
I enter my hereafter
I feel its indifferent breath upon my neck
Sends me to my knees in anguish
I scream as the affliction swells in my brain
Yearning for a life without regret and misery
Thoughts of what might have been encase my core
From dust I have come, soon I will return
My empty vessel, this empty vessel
I close my eyes waiting for this hell to end
I feel a touch against my skin
I must follow to leave my torment behind
My passions pulsate through these veins
Understanding is the extent of what I am
This passage lying before me is my escape
At the end, a peaceful light
I enter my hereafter
