In the Alcove
What you asked
your eyes
What you wanted
your tears
What you didn't say
your diverted smile
What you left for us
your past lives
….Became a tethered
bed of rope.
Your hands strung
above your head
Your feet secured
an open offering
Your lips
left to wander
And only flesh
to remember
Wax
and then ice
Jute
and then linen
Muffled moanings
seduced for hours
and then
aftercare.
Her instrumental
gathering
Flung like stardust
on the sheets
and then sleep
and dreaming of sleep.
