Wishing Well
Wishing Well you betrayed me
All those quarters
Yet no answered dreams
In this moment I now understand
Instead of a quarter
I just dove straight in
100 feet maybe more
Broken spine now lying on a dirt floor
Drips of water run across my face
Coughing blood is all I taste
Coins fall in every now and then
I hear their words as they pretend
Everything is going to be Ok
Little do they know it'll never change
The blood starts to pool
My breathes are shallowing
As the darkness settles in
Thank you Wishing Well for finally listening
All those quarters
Yet no answered dreams
In this moment I now understand
Instead of a quarter
I just dove straight in
100 feet maybe more
Broken spine now lying on a dirt floor
Drips of water run across my face
Coughing blood is all I taste
Coins fall in every now and then
I hear their words as they pretend
Everything is going to be Ok
Little do they know it'll never change
The blood starts to pool
My breathes are shallowing
As the darkness settles in
Thank you Wishing Well for finally listening
