The Girl

I never thought I'd be the girl that would hang out in dirty places where people smoked herbs and sniffed happiness into their nostrils. The one with black nails and red lipstick and a constant laugh that hid all the dead people in her life. The one who stopped believing in a God that took away her family and she would have some gin with her coffee, London Dry. The one who rebelled against society even though she is a part of it. She would cry in her closet but she would be happy because being sad meant being alive and the world she's in demands a brainless drone to cram in useless information.

The girl that would open her eyes to the real world, the one filled with secrets.
