I Smile

Each day with unending smiles.
Each day in undying pain.

You're a constant thought...running through my mind...
remembering only the bad, forgetting the good.

Even if for one moment you were sincere, you took my heart,
you killed "it" in an instant.
Tell me this...what did you have to gain?
You had my trust, my faith that you'd over come, my strength...

what more did you want?

It's sad to think you tossed me aside to quickly...for someone who treated
you just the same...

Its laughable that you've consumed my brain.
I'm at a place of loss and peace;
A place of regret and forgiveness;
A place where I've finally moved on and yet still hold on to that one night....

I hold on asking "what if?" but what if is to far gone.
I was never yours and you were never mine...I smile to heal the pain that thrives.
