Terrific Terror

John walks to the doorway,
peaks through the hole,
it's the babysitter,
Liam.

They exchange positions,
John is exiting,
Liam is entering.
The door closes.

Gemini, the child of 6,
runs to submit a hug to Liam.
They enter the living room
and play zombie games.

The phone rings,
it's Jill, Liam's girlfriend.
He invites her over.
She arrives 65 minutes later.

Once again, the phone rings
an hour after her arrival.
It's Jill saying she's on her way.
Liam develops suspison.

Another phone call comes in.
It's from inside the house.
There's only one land-line phone in the house.
Gemini and Jill are in the living room.

Liam runs around the house to find
"Jill" in the master bedroom and
Gemini in his bed asleep.
"Jill" convinces Liam to lay with her.

In the midst of of "Jill" undressing,
Liam becomes paralyzed.
"Jill" crawls on top of him and says,
"I'm a doppelganger."

She slits his throat and
drinks his blood and bites
at his arms, taking chunks
out and eating them.

She goes to Gemini's room,
picks him up by his feet,
and lights him on fire.
He doesn't die.

Instead, he develops a chrysalis.
Just as fast as he developed,
he is reborn into a doppelganger
of Liam.

They leave the house and
the real Jill arrives.
Shocked to see her doppelganger,
she is frozen.

The doppelgangers devour her
completely; head to toe.
They leave no remains,
not even blood stains on the concrete.
