Lead The Way

Who are your idols?
Lincoln,  Frost or someone great
Someone inspiring ,
Someone that's changed Life's face.

Who do you want to be?
A doctor, a poet,  a dancer.
Be just like your idol,
Be someone great.

I have my idols too,
My God,  they were beyond great.
But when I was asked that question,
I got sent to the school psych aid.

I don't think that was necessary.
I didnt say anything that would tempt fate.
All I said was,
"My idols are, Theo Bundy,  Jeff Dahmer and Giles de Rais.

I want to be just like them
Someday , do things just as great.
I want to feel their kind of power
I want the need,to satiate."

So what if I don't want to be a president.
A doctor that saves,
A poet that enchants,
Or a dancer that makes you crave.

I want to be an artist.
I want to create art just the way they paint.
My art is a little different,
Why are you looking at me that way?

Have I said something wrong?
Your face is white,  so  pale.
Don't worry, I haven't done anything, yet.
It's too early in the day.
