Questions Nobody Asks

Have you ever noticed what the world is today?
The people, places, and things have all changed.
That a young man can't help an old lady with her bags.
She tells him no, and then proceeds to hide her cash.
Have you ever noticed the elderly have come to fear the young?
And that the youth grow ever more dumb?

Have you noticed "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND"?
Have you noticed no one is willing to free their mind?
When was the last time you saw a child reading a book?
When was the last time a young lady wore a respectable look?
When did it become acceptable to have a child as a child?
Since when is it okay for the youth to be so wild?

When did parents become the kid's party animal?
When did loving God become so damnable?
Remember when you said the "Pledge of Allegiance"?
Remember when it was common to take part of abstinence?
Do you recall going to Sunday School?
I remember that was fucking cool!

Remember the days when you actually socialized?
Not over the internet but out there under the skies?
Remember the days you actually asked a girl out?
Now we all mate and we all keep a count!
I know it was long ago but do you recall marriage?
Back in the day when they lasted, now its barbaric.
Be in by 6 for dinner young lad,
now that is absurd...against the latest fad.

I look out in the world I see what it's become.
All the yuppies screaming about forget where we came from!
Look at how far the humans have evolved!
Please do look, what have we solved?
I fear society has lost family and God.
I fear this is why we're all in a fog.
What I have mentioned is just a futile few.
Look through your window, look at the view.
Is this the world you hear in your stories?
The world where people have no hobbies?
The electronic age is hear at last!
My God, I hope it'll pass.
This is not the place I want to be.
I fear America is no longer free.
