Rise, Survive, Repeat

I've got dogs at my throat
but even without I'd still choke
down the memories I'd be leaving
in the spot my body lies

I'm an unraveled doll
barely traveled at all
and if I know one thing
I am still too young to die

So if the sun rises
so do I, no surprises
I've always been a scrappy girl
and when the moon takes the stage
I'll dance the night away
I've always been a dancing girl
I rise, survive and move my feet
it's all rise, survive, and repeat

He said, I tasted like pie
and I saw maps in his eyes
leading to things we'd get to
I let him lead me by the hand

I Was naive back then
now I know things can't be planned
but I still throw myself in them
like the queen of the damned

So if the sun rises
so do I, no surprises
I've always been a scrappy girl
and when the moon takes the stage
I'll dance the night away
I've always been a dancing girl
I rise, survive and move my feet
it's all rise, survive, and repeat

Everything gets better in time
you want advice, well that's mine
and if I know one thing
We are still too young to die

so if the sun rises
so do I, no surprises
I've always been a scrappy girl
and when the moon takes the stage
I'll dance the night away
I've always been a dancing girl
I rise, survive and move my feet
it's all rise, survive, and repeat
