Darkness Surrounds Me

I step in through the door and inside the house,
immediately black,
brick walls surround me.
Rust and paint creeping into my nostrils.
A rush of coldness flows through me,
filling my arms with goosebumps.
Out the corner of my eye,
I catch strands of silver mist swirling around.
It sped up to me,
whispers hisses in my ear.
I have no choice but to walk deeper into the darkness.
A crowd of bodies pushes me forward.
Webs slither like snakes against my bare legs.
The crunching of glass beneath my feet creates a steady rhythm.
A grotesque creature pops out of a coffin.
Blood covering it's head and it's skinny, pale fingers reaching out to me.
It's eyes so sunken into their white, bare sockets,
yet I can still see the red gleam of evil shining on it's black, beady eyes. Terrifying screams piercing my ears.
Only for me to realize they were screams of my own.
This is all too real.
