A Silent Night
A Silent Night.
I sit upon this cold park bench
Watching the sun set behind the city.
As the light fades,
The city uncovered,
Out come the monsters of the night.
The protective sun
Hidden once more,
Its hold on the darkness broken.
On come the lamps
But they do not last,
As the monsters break those feeble shields.
The men come striding
They target the lights,
One shot after another.
The moonlight comes
Revealing the faces,
Of the men, come to get me.
The clouds come over
The moonlight broken,
The night an eternal shadow.
Gun fire breaks
The silent night,
But there are no screams.
I now laugh
And open my soul,
Releasing the demon within.
Their frightened screams
Fuel my hatred,
The beast reaches further.
I now call it back
The men in hand,
Down through my soul.
To join the others.
The moonlight breaks
The cover of cloud,
The man sits on the bench.
A silent night...
I sit upon this cold park bench
