A Kiss
Kissing has no language
Simply lips on lips
One tongue caressing
another, and so a kiss...
Can not lie, always it
Speaks the truth
Whether in violent
burst of desperate
Passion...
Or a gentile mist
of sweet sorrow
engulfed regret,
Such a small
bit of flesh
encircling its
longing, its hope,
its horror, and
eternal love...
Onto someone else
No country alone
could bare the blame
for such a thing,
It belongs to us all
A cherished burden,
and most wonderful
responsibility.
