gone
in the forest he met his misfortune
in the shape of a boy so fair
he had shy blue eyes and a lying tongue
and flowers in his long dark hair
he traced his scars
and kissed his head
and promised he'd never leave
but when he woke
the boy was gone
oh how could he be so naive
in a daze of frustration he scratched at his skin
not pretty not perfect
alone
he started to bleed as tears fell from his eyes
fading, fading
gone
in the shape of a boy so fair
he had shy blue eyes and a lying tongue
and flowers in his long dark hair
he traced his scars
and kissed his head
and promised he'd never leave
but when he woke
the boy was gone
oh how could he be so naive
in a daze of frustration he scratched at his skin
not pretty not perfect
alone
he started to bleed as tears fell from his eyes
fading, fading
gone
