Road to the Future
The road to the future is paved with the blood of children
Heated into bricks by sweatshops controlled by dictators
Smoothed by robots with hate in their engines
Paid with souls, Fouled by child-molesting prayer
We’ve sealed our fate by every wrong choice we made
We’ve fought so hard to keep things the same and simple
We believe the surface, Bow to the rotten façade
We stand for what we believe in under roofs, Then become fickle
In gatherings larger than our pride and our rage for wrong
Children raise their fists when asked for brave volunteers
But our eyes have glazed, We ignore their sweet swan song
We demand our way under easy circumstances, Then fake our tears
Our ladder to paradise is made of limbs and plastered with truth
We will never break the ladder, Never break through
Fed grapes, Whipping slaves to the trade, Sipping vermouth
Rebels are thrown into pits of death that obstruct their view
Are we doomed to forever walk this path?
Or are we free to make our own way?

Are we doomed to forever walk this path?
Or are we free to make our own way?
