'Til Death Do Us Part

 Under the dying willow tree,
Is where my love betrothed to me,
With a smile yet sadness we could see,
Underneath that dying willow tree.
In this chamber we loved and spent,
Our time and love that I had lent,
To this pitiful bride by heaven sent,
Demon adored, yet heaven sent.
This love that betrothed to me,
Underneath that willow tree,
Where I loved her, but her not me,
There was no other quite like she.
For back in the chamber hearts are cold,
On opposite sides our love was sold,
For I watched the future gently fold,
And never again would it be her to hold.
We wake and I sit, not saying a word,
This crime and horror that I've heard,
She acts as innocent as a bird,
Yet still has faces she must learn.
So I sat with a large grin,
And I watched my love dance and spin,
I saw my soul succumb to sin,
If this love was her game, I pledged to win.
So as she danced I slipped away,
I ran for freedom in that day,
Forever I'll remember calling her name,
If this was her love, it became my game.
I stood in darkness, still with a smile,
She crept in with fear and denial,
She looked around quite for awhile,
And I pictured the angel I would defial.
Suddenly the lights flashed on,
I captured her in my "loving" arms,
So I may keep her safe from harm,
And her love I did disarm.
For back to the paper that I went,
Hell had called, yet spent no cent,
My way was better, more permanent,
And there she'll hang, my ornament.
For love was a trickster from the start,
She gave nothing when I gave my heart,
Now it bleeds, and it hangs apart,
As was said, 'til death do us part.
Now underneath the dying willow tree,
I bury her, and I walk free,
Forever this love was meant to be,
Down beneath the willow tree.
