Secret hunger

Hungry for the love you bring
But not for longer pain
Greedy for the memories
You gave in heavy rain

Sleep is brighter where you lie
Lay your scrambled head
Fear becomes cold, safety arrives
Home is you in my bed

Who am I when I am with you,
A tiger? A monkey? A shark?
No, that can't be possible
Because only dogs bark

Open your eyes, if they are closed
We can't get too attached
Distance forces us to let go
I always felt mismatched

You're near, there's no happier place
Candles burn bright in shade
But do I have to share you?
Cause if so, im afraid

Your ignorance abondons me
But doesn't last too long
Protect me with your whisper
Or just write me a song

You are not unwanted
Don't be insecure
We can't count our money
But my thirst for you is pure
