Camping on the 4th
Walking to the lake I twisted my ankle
Looked up and u were standing there
Picked me up and carried me to safety
Your safe place wasn't my tent but your RV
Years had passed since I was yours
Yet it was as tho no time had passed
We talked and laughed the hours away
Bringing me there had no strings attached
Could not believe it was really me
Told me to lay back and put my ankle up
Did as he suggested without a second thought
Took some meds and I drifted off to sleep
He returned much later with wine and brie
Once again our conversation flowed naturally
Way into the early morning hours
He hadn't changed- my handsome quarterback
With him I was able to feel totally free
As he kissed me I could feel his hunger
Just like when we were in school
Oh so many years ago I gave him my love
On this night he finally received the gift of "ME"
