When Reflections Become Nightmares

Closing my misleading eyes
as I stare at cracked armored glass
So that I can depict myself
as dimented and ugly as I truly feel.

Ratted hair and bruised skin,
just red pen delineation
of the pain stricken barbarian that I've become.

Inside that same misleading mind,
I materialize plans
to torture and starve this savage girl.

Making her swallow every ounce of darkness,
I alienate her soul.

I drag her beaten torso,
behind me for miles,
and force her to perform the worst task possible....

lift her messy mop of a head
and face the snarling monster
convicted behind the glass.

I open my misleading eyes,

I'm staring at cracked, armored glass.
