Morningstar: A Portrait Against Mourning Hues

By all the Saints of thee
Who crave for Heaven
And all dark masters
In the pits below
You gave one gift
That nurtured fruit
Sweet and poisonous
And now it consumes all

She chose to love one other
Than the one higher than all
On peaks meant only for eyes
Of gods of lustful lovers
Faith beat faster at godly sights
In love with a warrior lord
Thus setting course to damnation
And her casting from His Heaven

Lamenting her downfall from the highest steps of Heaven
A portrait placed against the mourning hues
Employing the free will from the High Lord that was given
In the morning dew, it was her due

  Her will to be free

I chose to follow her to
Her flaming and the descent
A fleeting shadow eludes
Me like a wisp of gray smoke
My heart beats faster at those glimpses
Heavenly spent into waters
Churning and burning beneath her
All at the will of the Father

Lamenting my free fall from the highest steps of Heaven
A portrait placed against the mourning hues
Employing my free will from the High Lord that was given
In the midnight dew, it was my due

  My will to be free

From the shackles of the righteous
Those who would fight us
Against the hunter’s moon
In the candle’s gloom
The key to my victory
Sleeps with his doom

And so he chose jealously
Over being justified
In creation, I was born
The burning deep in his heart
The one gift given to mankind
Became his ultimate downfall
And put in hand of nemesis
Born free, I became His freewill

Lamenting his downfall from the highest steps of Heaven
A portrait placed against the mourning hues
Enjoying his free fall from the high seat that was given
In the midnight dew, it was His due

  His will to be free
  From devils at least
  Embrace under eyes
  I am the beast
