Ignorance is bliss
or so
they say
Until ignorance drives
them to tears
at 3 am
wondering where love has gone
Ignorance is bliss
as a teenager
wondering if mom would
swallow too many pills
and never hug you again
Ignorance is bliss
until you find that
words and actions
are as separate as
how I feel for you and
how you feel for me
Ignorance is bliss.
