Our love is like
Our love is like a game of dodge ball
I throw my heart at you
But you duck and jump so it hits the wall
Our love is like fruit
You’re the apple of my eye
But you stomp my apple with your boot
Our love is like a rubber band
We are both pulling apart
And you release your hand
Our love is like a flower
That we grow together
But you start to wither away
Our love is like an unbuilt house
It will always be abandoned
But I pray that one day we can stack the bricks
Together
