Falling Fast
I saw you standing among others in the dense crowd,
time began to slow down.
When your eyes met mine altogether everything froze.
My heart pounded to the beat of the drums,
as my lungs tried to retain some air.
I became infatuated with every little detail about you.
When you touched my skin softly It sent chills down my spin.
You grab my waist tight pulling me closer.
Your smooth cold lips press against mine.
I run my fingers through your thick hair dark.
My hands shake as my heart speeds up.
We let go knowing that we may never see each other again.
I walk away turning back to see if you are looking,
our eyes meet one last time.
We smile warmly at one another and keep walking.
That evening I lied in bed unable to sleep,
I was to twitterpated,
hoping you felt the same.
I didn't think I would end up feeling this way,
but here I am not able to sleep,
with thoughts of you filling my mind.
