Ironic information age
This a world of
being alone
and yet being surrounded
A ding, a ping, a ring
our attention is ubscounded
our gateways to the world
end up shutting us away
Ironic that because of instant
information
we've forgotten how to think
It's chaos
our every thought
we think profound
lost in a whir of clinging
pinging sound
I'm not saying
that technology
is wrong
but with this overwhelming
influx of knowledge
it's no wonder that we're dumb
being alone
and yet being surrounded
A ding, a ping, a ring
our attention is ubscounded
our gateways to the world
end up shutting us away
Ironic that because of instant
information
we've forgotten how to think
It's chaos
our every thought
we think profound
lost in a whir of clinging
pinging sound
I'm not saying
that technology
is wrong
but with this overwhelming
influx of knowledge
it's no wonder that we're dumb
