Unnoticed
The tree so green and full of life,
With strong roots that held tight,
But no one sees the fungus that begins to grow,
Because on the outside it doesnt show,
As time goes by,
The leaves start to die,
Slowly the rot begins to show on the outside,
The fungus the tree held so deep inside,
Had no place left to hide,
The bark starts to turn black,
The limbs begin to bend and crack,
No one would water it,
So down the middle it split,
They assumed it would always be there,
So they went on without a care,
It was such a sad sight,
To see a tree once so full of life,
Gone before our eyes.
With strong roots that held tight,
But no one sees the fungus that begins to grow,
Because on the outside it doesnt show,
As time goes by,
The leaves start to die,
Slowly the rot begins to show on the outside,
The fungus the tree held so deep inside,
Had no place left to hide,
The bark starts to turn black,
The limbs begin to bend and crack,
No one would water it,
So down the middle it split,
They assumed it would always be there,
So they went on without a care,
It was such a sad sight,
To see a tree once so full of life,
Gone before our eyes.
