adversity

Lost in a cloud of dust,
Theres no one left to trust,
My soul burning on fire,
He turned out to be nothing but a liar,
I should've seen right through his words,
I shouldn't have let him in to make me hurt,
I ignored all the signs,
I saw but turned a blind eye,
How stupid was i,
How naive,
To think someone like him could change,
I let the tears roll of my back,
Another lesson learned,
Another crack,
I look in the mirror and tell myself,
I'm too good for this,
He needs help,
I push the thought of guilt and worthlessness from my head,
I may be broken but i'm not dead.
