Name.
It's tugging at my chest
Pulling the strands of my heart
It makes me feel at rest
When the night hits and my tears start
I don't know what it is about it
that makes my mouth freeze
and I don't know what it is about that
that makes my life seize
My whole heart skips a beat
And the hole in my body makes itself known
The Earth crumbles at my feet
And I feel fear in every bone
I've reached for something forbidden
And held it in my grasp
Now I keep it hidden
But when it happens I can't choke down my gasp
It's dangerous and stupid
But I subject myself to disaster anyway
and I blame it on cupid
That I can not put this away
I am glad he came
But now he's gone
I promised to remember his name
Yet when I hear it said, It feels all wrong
and it's like a tugging at my chest
Pulling the strands of my heart
It makes me feel at rest
When the night hits and my tears start
I don't know what it is about it
that makes my mouth freeze
and I don't know what it is about that
that makes my life seize
My whole heart skips a beat
And the hole in my body makes itself known
The Earth crumbles at my feet
And I feel fear in every bone
I've reached for something forbidden
And held it in my grasp
Now I keep it hidden
But when it happens I can't choke down my gasp
It's dangerous and stupid
But I subject myself to disaster anyway
and I blame it on cupid
That I can not put this away
I am glad he came
But now he's gone
I promised to remember his name
Yet when I hear it said, It feels all wrong
and it's like a tugging at my chest
