hove seafront (4am)

walking home, another late one.
check my phone, i hear from no one.

and my mind travels to nowhere,
a faraway place.
and my thoughts - a one way ticket
to a place beyond the stars,
i feel my heart
tear the seams apart.

walking - then i stop, i look to the distance.
plagued by one thought, i wish that i'd kissed her.

then i'm singing at the top of my voice.
a sodium spotlight shines my face.

no idea of time, i just want to sing to you.
it's getting light, i see no sign of you.
