Can I?
Can I make her stay,
Just long enough to see,
The other side of me,
The man I used to be.
Can I make her belong,
In my twisted messed up life,
Just enough to see,
The girl I need her to be.
Can I stop the hurt,
Without the gambling guilt and worse,
Just enough for her to know,
The worse of me will go.
Can she see through me,
Losing her rose-coloured glasses,
Just enough of her will know,
The pain is starting to show.
Can she forgive the loss,
The pain of letting go,
Just enough for her to know,
This is the last blow.
Can she move on,
Knowing she finished me,
Just enough for her to be happy,
The way we used to be.....
Just long enough to see,
The other side of me,
The man I used to be.
Can I make her belong,
In my twisted messed up life,
Just enough to see,
The girl I need her to be.
Can I stop the hurt,
Without the gambling guilt and worse,
Just enough for her to know,
The worse of me will go.
Can she see through me,
Losing her rose-coloured glasses,
Just enough of her will know,
The pain is starting to show.
Can she forgive the loss,
The pain of letting go,
Just enough for her to know,
This is the last blow.
Can she move on,
Knowing she finished me,
Just enough for her to be happy,
The way we used to be.....
