failure
You gave me the gift of life,
But for my safety you did not fight,
You ignored what was happening to me,
You acted as if that was the way things should be,
I cried out for your help,
But you werent there when i needed you most,
You discarded me as if i was an unwanted piece of trash,
You destroyed my innocence,
By condemning me to a life of shame and submissiveness,
You are no longer my mother,
I dont know why i even bothered,
Your expectations are to high to reach,
But still your approval i seek,
I dont know how to move on,
But i know holding on to you is wrong,
I want a mother so bad,
And leaving here without one makes me sad,
But i have to start somewhere,
Because this battle getting you to admit you were wrong,
Is leading me nowhere.
