Snow Bird
Bird of ice
Bird of snow,
Born of cold
I shine below,
The sky,
The sun,
To both of which,
I belong
Oh how I long,
To be free
Of this,
Chilly embrace
A need of the sun,
I have not,
For I light the dark,
From within
My ice-light,
Shining bright
Wings of ice
Feathers of snow,
Claws of wind
Eyes of sky,
Beak of darkest night,
Winter embodiment
Embrace the ice,
Embrace the sky,
Reaching for the sun,
I fly.
Bird of snow,
Born of cold
I shine below,
The sky,
The sun,
To both of which,
I belong
Oh how I long,
To be free
Of this,
Chilly embrace
A need of the sun,
I have not,
For I light the dark,
From within
My ice-light,
Shining bright
Wings of ice
Feathers of snow,
Claws of wind
Eyes of sky,
Beak of darkest night,
Winter embodiment
Embrace the ice,
Embrace the sky,
Reaching for the sun,
I fly.
