Instant Nirvana
Smokey clouds swallow the ghastly moon.
Making strange shadows upon the black tar road.
I hear a trickling stream
And rustling creatures beneath overgrown weeds.
I breathe deep the cleansing air,
The stillness is beautiful,
Too fragile for a fractured soul.
A car light intrudes and quickly fades.
I have a stone in my shoe.
And a battered ciggie in my pocket.
I'll keep walking, keep walking towards oblivion
Keep walking to where the world ends.
I'm neither lonely nor free; in a world of dreams,
Is this the only thing real?
Making strange shadows upon the black tar road.
I hear a trickling stream
And rustling creatures beneath overgrown weeds.
I breathe deep the cleansing air,
The stillness is beautiful,
Too fragile for a fractured soul.
A car light intrudes and quickly fades.
I have a stone in my shoe.
And a battered ciggie in my pocket.
I'll keep walking, keep walking towards oblivion
Keep walking to where the world ends.
I'm neither lonely nor free; in a world of dreams,
Is this the only thing real?
