Earthworm

My head is a tail squirming to the surface,
I am of no sex and no delight.
I eat the dirt tombs of my ancestors,
Here they shod and here they died.

I sleep blind, no mask, no eyes
The underworld sought my hellish hole,
But I am filthier than demons
And more dusty than Sandmen,
For beneath the bedrock,
I am tucked in.

Dare wake me
And your city will crumble,
I am the concrete under your wind,
Howl, howl, Aether will scowl,
But Gaia was first my mother.

Though I be a parasite in her womb
With a gaping mouth, pinkish and fertile,
Skin peeling from my ectomorph,
I still shed and shed and never wed,
A moistured maiden, my segments do seep.

Drain me, the sunlight does burn,
No time to scream, raped by the sky,
Hardened core, empty shell,
Blood, white and pale like fever.
I was perished long ago.

The weeping pace quickens,
It creeps and reeks a savage stone.
Beneath my belly, I crawl with creatures,
(Maggots and monsters and millipedes)
I am the earthworm burrowed into a grave.
