His Mistake

Sittin' on the branch hangin off the edge of the mountain,
below me seeming like uh million foot drop was no fear
for him.

His fear was never seeing the one he cared most for...
his life...also know as his brother logan.

The sun's light reaching out over the horizon slowly disappearing,
seeming like time stood still just for him to make that one lonesome
wish he so desired.

His face was soaked but dead not feeling the frostbite overcoming his
weak pale scared up flesh,
looking down and hoping to have the guts to just...slide off the branch
and allowing the strong winds blow him away from this world.

Barely able to close his eyes,
he wished the world would give him back his brother he had lost
from making his dumbass mistakes,
causing his removal of what he called home.

Slowly opening his eyes he then realized it would never happen,
this life he once lived so grand and purely was not only
a lie,
but a mistake.

The sun had finally completely disappeared behind the mountain...
coming to a slow causious stand on the branch,
the last words were spoken so softly the angels of all heaven could
never be a comparison,
"Be by my side brother...and i will defend you from all"

The branch slowly started crackin as the wind stirred up around it harder
and faster,
it finally snapped leaving him falling...
looking up at the dark rainy sky he smiled even when the tears
rushed harder than they ever had before...
"Seeya soon buddy..."
