Planning my life?
What shall I do?
Is a question
I ask myself too much
Maybe a little too often
But I just want to be sure
That I’ve chosen right.
You’re young, they say,
You have the whole world in front of you;
But they just don’t understand
That I just can’t go with the flow,
I need to plan ahead and know
Where I’m going and where I’ll end
Because I know there will be no one
There to pick me up if I fall
So it’s my determined job
To make sure I don’t trip
In this life journey of mine.
I don’t expect people to understand
Because I know what they’ll say
That I am being too naïve
And nothing’s ever as it seems;
But I have had my share of mistakes,
And if this is one as well
Then so be it and let me fail,
For it’s my choice if I want to play it safe
Of risk it all in this place.
