So Long

So long
Were the days
We never spent together

So long
Were the fights
We never had.

So long
Were the kisses
We never exchanged.

So long
Were the words
We could have said.

And I feel like a fool
For not representing my
Love for you but it is

Too late
Because you are gone.
Now I look down the narrow street

As the sun finally sets
With trees swaying
In perfect sync.

Maybe if I hope long enough
I may conjure the courage
To speak to you.
