whats yours is mine

i know you only spit on my face to say
i'm sorry i can't give you a gold ring
but what is mine is yours
the only thing i felt was cold saliva
and that i have nothing you can't touch,
i may never stop spinning circles around your nucleus
because you are the sun and i am the earth
but none of this is sacred
this is human sacrifice to ensure a sunrise
ill clean my mouth every night with your frayed toothbrush
ill let the nicotine and plaque spill between the cracks
and promise that this is me coming clean
because darling i love you but this is not love.
you told me that this would be beautiful
but my head is against a brick wall and my spinal cord is on fire
and i am so naked
oh baby you're hurting me you're hurting me
you're hurting me
but i know you only spit on my face to say
i'm sorry i can't give you a gold ring
but what's yours is mine
