Memory Lane

Let's take a look down memory lane
Most often times it's filled with pain
But this time it's a little off
So I beg you please do not scoff

A sense of eternal happiness
Sheer relief from pent up stress
I came out to see my friends
But talked to you in the end

I knew you'd be there and we'd meet
But never expecting such a greet
You ran over, my name you shout
I stood up and you lept out

Embracing deep, your face on mine
Complete and total loss of time
Grasping your body as it was hurled
Placing me on top of the world.
