Friend or foe?
What is this creation?
This darkness
Always lingering
Always waiting
Casting a shadow over everything
Itching to consume me
Stalking
Waiting, for me the prey, to ask it to stay
It will never see the day
No way.
Feigning kindness
Pretending to be a friend
Only wanting to bring me to an end
Alluring with the enticing promises of trouble
The kind of trouble that one simply cannot resist
The darkness, boy does it persist
An endearing smile
A face of innocence, the kind that can't be trusted
A voice so sweet, sounds like a melody
Eyes so capturing, it's hard to look away
Careful not stare, or suffer the consequences if you dare.
So inviting, the darkness, it speaks of peace
The kind that is eternal
It speaks of rest
The type you never awaken from
A touch so cold, it freezes your soul.
How can something so beautiful, be so destructive?
Is It a friend or a foe?
This darkness
Always lingering
Always waiting
Casting a shadow over everything
Itching to consume me
Stalking
Waiting, for me the prey, to ask it to stay
It will never see the day
No way.
Feigning kindness
