live and love
the tethered balloons are flying,
the collared doves have flown,
the blossomed trees are vying
for their places in the sun.
my beating heart is pondering
the slow course of the blood,
my mind again is wandering
to plains of want and love
so i live and i love
then i learn not to care so much
then i learn to live and love again,
i learn to live and love again.
to sex and philosophy,
to dreaming dreams of lust,
to things i think are not for me,
i'm really not that tough.
from a plundering trajectory
that dances through my ribs,
with eyes that shine expectantly
to words that say i live
the collared doves have flown,
the blossomed trees are vying
for their places in the sun.
my beating heart is pondering
the slow course of the blood,
my mind again is wandering
to plains of want and love
so i live and i love
then i learn not to care so much
then i learn to live and love again,
i learn to live and love again.
to sex and philosophy,
to dreaming dreams of lust,
to things i think are not for me,
i'm really not that tough.
from a plundering trajectory
that dances through my ribs,
with eyes that shine expectantly
to words that say i live
