I Reminisce
What I have is good what I have is great but oh how I reminisce…
I Remember it all but only when I’m all alone and I have the freedom to get lost in my memories, there you are as if your still laying in my bed as though I’m still holding you in my arms as if the sweetness of your kiss still lingers on my lips
The nights the days, your selfish and stubborn ways, uncompromising mentality and objective attitude so beautifully complicated how could I resist, how could I ever forget…
You still make it easy for me to smile as if we share mountains of secrets that others could never understand the meaning…oh how I reminisce
I used to love you so bad I used to hate you so much, damn who would have ever thought we’d still be cool
but these thoughts are of a time long past, and I’d never trade these moments for those, the present has given me such a great gift…LOVE
So I’ll keep you where you belong in the back of my mind, under heavy lock and key, maximum security penitentiary, because thoughts of the past can be so deadly…
I wouldn't say that I have an infinite longing for you, or an unsatisfied lust it’s more like flowing clarity, an inner peace achieved just from having had those precious moments with you, no ill will but comfort in knowing that your happiness is a treasure in my heart..
So you be happy dream your dreams and may they come true, and I’ll do my best to be happy too neither of us deserve anything less but from time to time I will always reminisce….

I wish they didn't have to be but like you spoke of, it is a treasure now rather than a desire. Only in my dark times to I start to drift to "what if".
