For Frank

I always said…
One day I’ll backtrack and pick up all those loose pieces of me that
Carelessly I left behind in
All those little corners of the world where you’d never expect to find me.
Wyoming. Kentucky. Florida. California…even Canada.
Then…
I met you and you said…don’t worry, baby
Those pieces don’t matter.
We’ll put you together again…
Without those pieces…I have the strongest glue of all
Love.
More of it than you will ever need to be whole again.
And you did. You helped me put myself back together…
And I came out more beautiful and stronger than I have ever been
What do I do now…will your glue still hold
without your arms to reinforce it?
I hope you left enough of it behind.
And I don’t have to return to the backtracking plan.
Love you.
Miss you.
Always.
