out there in the rain
seen her there.. touched her pain
out there.. hidden next to the lane..
on with the darkness.. it's domain..
the coldness of night.. so profane..
i look to her.. yet it's all the same..
i search.. search for things to attain..
i pay homage a stone.. yet in vain..
i call to her.. over and over again..
yet all i can hear.. is swiftly moving rain..
as it soils the about her.. so deign..
washing away dust.. as it maintains..
that granite stone.. marking the slain..
out there.. hidden next to the lane..
on with the darkness.. it's domain..
the coldness of night.. so profane..
i look to her.. yet it's all the same..
i search.. search for things to attain..
i pay homage a stone.. yet in vain..
i call to her.. over and over again..
yet all i can hear.. is swiftly moving rain..
as it soils the about her.. so deign..
washing away dust.. as it maintains..
that granite stone.. marking the slain..
