Judgement
Energy coursing through my veins
A power unknown
The meaning obscured
It's purpose denied
It remains contained
In a self-imposed cell
With imaginary walls
That are hidden even from myself
But I know they are there
Only I don't yet fully know the secret
Held hostage within
Locked away
Awaiting release
Once the verdict is overturned
A judgement was made long ago
By one too young to understand
And too innocent to know
The severity of her choices
Because she was alone
Because no one was there...
