Consumed by nightmares
The catacombs labeled Notion can be treacherous to the inexperienced wonderers.
Darkness, terror and despondency all working together to create the perfect shade of life.
I traverse over the cobblestone pathways leading from chamber to chamber in this labyrinth of apparent hell with only this feeling of Creator.
This is my shelter.
This is my sanctuary and within these dilapidated walls is where I call home.
Brick after brick I've constructed my kingdom of primal fear only to have it backlash in my face.
This machine of blackened will creates the agents of terror which run amuck like spoiled children, defiling the light that I have abolished with a cold shoulder.
To the warmth of day I have turned my back to dwell in the winterous chill of night.
My icy fingers crawl across the controls of diabolical intent, spilling blood into the gears and initiating the mechanized birth of yet another patricide fueled monstrosity therefore adding to the swelling pool of contemptuous foe.
If I simply stop then their existence will dissolve but this habit has grown like a tumor infecting my brain.
A parasite with godlike intentions.
These are my children and I have bled myself to give them nourishment through fear to silence their cries of hunger;. but answering to their pleas of helplessness is a trap into which I continuously fall.
Now cornered and alone I must face my abominations.
Yearning for the light to cast me into the shadows once more, I feel the hands of mutiny around my neck with an ever tightening grip.
Gasping for a breath I cannot surface from this underworld of untamed wilds.
Subtle whimpers arise from my catatonic body and go unheard, unanswered and unclaimed as I am consumed by my own nightmares.
Open your eyes and free yourself from this prison of dreams and I will write to you on sheets of my own flesh inked in my own blood for I am a prisoner of my own mind.
