Don't you Dare.

Every time I tell you;
Don't you Dare,
You do it.
With a wry smile
And the warning;
'You dared me'.

This time,
I meant it.
Don't you dare blame me,
For your bottle of whiskey a night habit.
Because I had a beer,
When you'd 'given up.'

Don't you dare
Tell me it might be my fault
That you can't get it up.
I'm so very sorry
I haven't grown that long black hair
And suddenly become a size 8 stripper.

Don't you dare
Tell me I'm stupid.
I am far from it.
Don't argue with me
On stuff I learnt when I was 12,
Tell me I'm wrong,
And make 'you're dumb' jokes.

Don't you dare
Remind me
That we're still an item
Only because your relative died
Just before I said 'it's over'.
Beyond your control,
But your saving grace.

Don't you dare
Act like you're god's gift,
Right now, it's all I can do
To smile sweetly
And go 'ok babe.'
Because you're fragile.

So don't you dare
Push your luck.
