Torments

Torments of oceans flowed with me
all of my life
I have been blessed with calm seas
and cursed with its gales
and victim to its undertows

A body is made of mostly water
then there is reason
we resemble the seas
we have our ups and down
are high and low tides
our storms, our glassy looks

We have helped a lot of people
by floating them along their path
to see them disappear on the horizon
as well as we have drowned a few
those deserving bunch
that get entangled in our seaweed
or in our riptide and pass on

We are the ocean
having torments of bodies in our wake
